Updating

The AI Platform checks for updates automatically. When a new version is available, a notification card appears in the sidebar so you can update without leaving your conversation.

How Updates Work

The app polls for new releases in the background. When a newer version is found, an Update available card appears at the bottom of the sidebar. Nothing is downloaded until you choose to update.

Installing an Update

  1. When you see the Update available card in the sidebar, click Get update
  2. A progress bar shows the download status
  3. Once the download finishes, the card changes to Restart to apply update
  4. Click Apply update to restart the app with the new version

Your conversations, settings, and workspace data are preserved across updates.

Dismissing a Notification

If you are not ready to update, click the X button on the card to dismiss it. The card will reappear the next time you open the app or when a newer version is released.

Required Updates

Occasionally, an update is required to continue using the app. When this happens, the card says Update required and cannot be dismissed. Click Get update to download and install it. If the in-app updater is not available on your platform, the card will direct you to download the update from your app store or installer.

Update Channels

You can choose which release channel the app follows. This setting is in Settings → Personal → Update Channel.

Select a channel from the dropdown to switch. The app will check for the latest release on that channel and notify you if a newer version is available.

Tip

Stick with Stable unless you specifically want to preview upcoming features or have been asked to test a beta release.

Update Errors

If a download fails, the card shows Update failed with an error message. Click Try again to retry the download. If the error persists:

  1. Check that your internet connection is working
  2. If you are behind a corporate firewall, confirm that outbound HTTPS connections are not being blocked
  3. Restart the app and try again

Checking Your Current Version

To see which version you are running, open Settings. The app version is displayed in the settings panel.
